On Thursday 22nd
November 2003, Eelam:
The leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, Mr.
V. Pirapaharan, Thursday conferred national honor on the
father of Karate in Tamil Eelam, Grand Master Shihan Bonnie
Roberts, who holds eight black belts and contributed yeoman
service to the growth of the art of Karate. The national
award includes a medal embossed with the Tiger emblem.

Mr. V. Prabakaran, the Tamil National Leader expressed this sentiment while addressing the members of the Tamil Eelam Netball team, which won in 18 matches in UK and many other European countries and the members of the Tamil Eelam Sports Council in a ceremony held in Kilinochchi today, Monday 8th September 2003. On Saturday 30th August 2003, Eelam:
Tamil Eelam Netball team was felicitated on 30th August
2003 at Kilinochchi to for their great achievement, succeeding
all the participated games at Promil, UK. They went to
UK on last July 20th & won all the games, they participated
and returned their mother land today. This team was invited
by Student Organization’s (SALT) parade towards Kilinochchi

Sport is the back bone of a country. Our future young generation life is very important for us as same as our nation & our adventurous independence war. Sports is the base for the status of our Patriotism
& Nationalism. Every youths and sports man should participate
in our National sports events with the motto "We are Tamils,
born to win". Then only Tamils supremacy of (talents &
skills) sports can be proved internationally. So, National
sports events are very important for our younger generations.
Healthy life, Nationalistic patriotic sense and protect
them from bad habitual disasters. Therefore, we formed
sports council of Tamil Eelam in 1st of January 2001.
